FAQ

Answers to the most common questions. Can't find yours? Get in touch.

Is the school really free?

Yes. There are no tuition fees, neither during the Piscine nor during the curriculum. Access to tech education should be a right, not a privilege.

Do I need a degree or coding experience?

No. No degree is required and you don't need to know how to code already. Selection is based on your motivation and logic, not on your background.

What is the Piscine?

The Piscine is a four-week admission test in full immersion on campus. You learn to code, day and night, while collaborating with other candidates. It is the decisive selection stage.

How do I apply?

Applications happen in three steps: play the online logic and memory games, come to a check-in on campus, then take part in a Piscine session. See the Admission page for details.

How old do I need to be?

The program is open to anyone aged 18 or over, with no upper age limit.

Are there teachers and classes?

No. The pedagogy is based on peer-to-peer and project-based learning. You learn by doing and by helping fellow students.

Is the campus really open 24/7?

Yes, the campus is accessible around the clock for students. You organise your learning at your own pace.

How long does the curriculum take?

There is no fixed duration. You progress as you validate projects and levels — typically a few years, depending on your pace and specializations.

Do I get a recognised diploma?

You earn a 42 skills certification recognised by companies across the global network. We are working to secure local accreditation in Kazakhstan. (Details to be confirmed.)

What language is the program in?

The curriculum is project-based and largely language-independent, but a working knowledge of English is recommended. Specific language details for Astana will be confirmed soon.

When do applications open in Astana?

Piscine dates and application windows will be published on the Admission page. Contact us to be notified as soon as they open.
